Default I've a lot to learn

Went to the lake spartannation, vbottom and I went to last Saturday. Lake temp was 68, 4 degrees less than last week and water clarity was much poorer. Running three rods, the boat and trying to stay on track was work but got smoother. Only got a few keepers, couple smalls and couple undersized pike. All went back. Somewhere different tomorrow.

I've been humbled more times than I can count. Just when you think you have them figured out you get a dose of reality. Keep trying, learn from every trip out and appreciate the good days. From your texts this past week it sounds like the crappie on that lake got pounded over the last week so that might have something to do with it. Have you ever fished the Six Lakes chain? We've done decent there in the past on Second and Third lakes.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing

I haven't fished there. I'm going to the lake we talked about in the morning.
It was encouraging catching just the few I did using a new method. I'll get the kinks worked out.

We call it fishing and not catching for a reason. The skunk rides in my boat so often I bought him a life jacket

I'm no stranger to powering through the slow days. Its what makes the good ones stand out so much. I think it's just as important to share the days with few fish as it is the spectacular ones.

    Good luck everyone!
