That looks like a great trip.
I always love when I go somewhere new, and get them figured out.

Jeff (vbottom) and I took Jeff's new Lund down to Barry County today to try and get some Leach Lake crappie slime on the carpet. Neither of us was real familiar with the lake so we planned on long lining jigs and plastics until we found fish and then play it by ear from there. It didn't take long to find a pattern, outside edge of the weeds in 9-13 fow and where there was a distinct inside bend. We managed to pick away at them, catching and releasing a lot of smaller fish with a few bigger fish mixed in that went in the box. As the day went on the wind picked up making it harder to control the boat but we were getting enough fish to make it worth the trouble. By mid afternoon we had enough of the wind and pleasure boaters and decided to call it a day. We ended with 25 real nice fish with some up to 12". We also learned enough to make our next trip to Leach a bit easier. We also had a hitch hiker for part of the day.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing
