    Default Still Here.

Been a summer of Dr. appointments. Sandy has had cataract surgery in both eyes. Shes doing good now. My heart Dr. found my left carotid artery was over 70% plugged. I had surgery 3 weeks ago for that. Doing better now. Yesterday we went to Traverse City and I had surgery on my droopy eye lids. They were making it hard to see as I was looking through the lashes. This morning I look like I was in the ring with Mohammad Ali. We have been out camping and fishing , but nothing like usual. Staying home this winter to do some ice fishing. Hope it proves to be better than the summer. Have a reservation for Houghton Lake spring camp. Hope all is well with everyone. Crappie 1 & 2

Great to hear from you Larry. Dang, you both been through a lot. Glad it's going well. Sure hope you got paid big for being in the ring with Muhammad Ali. I'm sure it'll get better soon. You're gonna stay up there in the northern tundra through winter, yuck! lol Best of luck with that, stay warm, say hey to Sandy. doh

Some years simply look worse than others. Hopefully we get enough ice this year. Of course, if not, I'd be ok with that too.

Camp is closed up for the winter for us. On to fall adventures

Sorry to hear of all the repair work, but our good ole bods just wear out after a while. Tell Sandy hello for us. Carol has been on the east side of the state for most of September tending to her sister who was hospitalized. She just got back and was planning on heading back over when I discovered I had a detached retina and had to get emergency laser surgery. I now have a REAL evil eye to give people. Life goes on, eh. We too are staying put this winter.

Wow!! You all and my wife and I must be in the same boat. On Nov 6 she fell and shattered her ankle. Surgery to repair that, then off to re-hab. While she was in rehab I took a bad spill on the front porch. Laid on the concrete about 3 and a half hours before I came to and managed to crawl back into the house. Called Cray and he knew something was wrong so he call 911. I was pretty delirious. Core temp was down 4 degrees. Cray probably saved me. When they got me to hospital, I had hypothermia, bleeding kidney, badly bruised pancreas. Bruised pancreas quit producing insulin and blood sugar went off the charts. Taking insulin shots 4 times a day. Getting better each day. God has surely watched over me. On Aug 14 she fell again and broke her hip. Back to surgery. Partial replacement. She broke the ball of the top of her femur. Two hour surgery. Had her up on her feet as soon as she came out of recovery. She gets out of re-hab next Friday. Says she has not had any pain since surgery. Here is praying that you guys recover as well as we have. God bless.
