    Default Lower crooked

Got out on lower crooked lake for the first time ever
It looks like there should be crappie everywhere but I think we were a bit early for them to be in the shallows
Did find about 20 and size was not bad mostly 10-12 inch fish
Lake is a shallow lake but water looked to be up about a foot or so over normal
Caught most fish on the edges of weeds next to deeper areas about half on jigs and plastics and half on minnows
Slab sauce seemed to help on jigs
Need to try it again in a couple of weeks

I'd take 10-12" fish any day. That lake has some good bluegills and also has musky. I might try to catch a musky there this spring, if I can find the time.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing
