Man them Skeeters are out in force now, I let the dog out to go do it's thing in the morning and come back in all bit up.
I can remember fixing fence along a cedar swamp on one of our farms in the UP, the skeeters were so bad you would literally inhale them when you breathed. It never took long to check out that area and get out! My brother and I would cover every square inch of skin we could and the face area was heavily sprayed with OFF, but I swear they were immune to it. Never cared much for the cattle part of our farming operation......I liked being on a tractor in the field or in our bean/barley processing faciities a whole lot more.
At least we don't have those pesky no-see-ums down here.....they will tear you up!

When is fall camp?
Nope, did it once six people showed up and there was no money in the treasury so it cost us $200 bucks
It’s line of site.
So if the atmosphere is @ 90 degrees, than it’s still the same.
If it’s -4 degrees, it doesn’t matter, I’m not outside......

Got a call from Rich yesterday morning while Chris and I were coming home from Jerrys to see if I wanted to tag along with my boat fishing a lake near him for Walleye. It took 7 seconds to call Judy and see if she had plans for us.....he got about 4 words out and she said "GO"
Met up at Rich's at 5:00 p.m. he and Brian were ready to go and just waiting for Chris and I to show up.....quick visit to say hi to Charlie the pup and we were off. We followed Rich to his secret lake and once we got past the "Launch Lunacy" we were on the water.
A little later planer boards were out with cranks and bottom bouncers attached.....kicker on, music on and we were fishing! First fish on was a Northern on the second pass, then a while later I had a bass on.....which I unhooked and threw it in Brians direction which brought the double handed one fingered salute.....it was good to know that Brian really approved of my catch. Couple more passes and the same results, Chris caught a nice sized bass in the process but by then Rich and Brian had motored off elsewhere on the lake so Chris didn't receive the salute from Brian.
A little more fishing and at 8:00 we decided to call it a wrap, Rich and Brian came up along side us as were were putting gear away and had similar results with a higher fish count.
I considered the evening to be a success even with no target species landed by either boat.....Chris and I successfully put out boards with cranks and crawler harnesses using the new kicker AND caught fish......as well as spending some quality father/son time on the water which is good for Possums mental attitude right now.....so we tack that on as a Bonus!
No video for this trip even though I have a short clip of the launch lunacy......it's really not that HARD PEOPLE to launch a boat!!!!!
