Larry we have 4 and they are great
Larry I have some I modified by adding a float to the top so they wouldn't sink. I pull jigs and cranks with them. If I was buying new I'd get the 38 with float already attached. If you slow down like in a turn the 34 will sink and if you happen to break your line they are gone.

Larry, you can get a kit from offshore to modify the boards. that is what I did cost like $20 for four boards
Larry here is what I did with mine. These are catfish floats. Took a coping saw and cut a slot half way therough. Drilled 2 1/4 inch holes at top edge of board. I then put a coat of liquid nails on board then slid float on. Holes are to let glue go through board to help hold on. Let sit overnight and ready to go.

Larry,
The OR38 board (New version) is basically the OR34 (Same board you have) with a flotation channel added to the top of it. You can purchase the FLT BE at Off Shore for $3.49 to upgrade your OR34 for an OR38.
