Hey Smarty Pants, how do you remove the backing when you want to keep the braid?
Reverse Spool, Calibrate then proper spool onto identical reel. I got it, it makes sense in my head.............
Of course, I don't think, like normal people, throw in a bit of Ginger, and its like a party in my mind. Minus common sense......

I am "actually" working!
Aaron, I understood what you meant on the first go round! Amazing right.
To help everyone else out:
He marked out 50 feet on the ground, hit the clicker, and when he got to 50 feet, the counter read 30. Which means he has in fact got too much line on!!
Use an old reel and reverse off the line you want to keep, get in to the backing, remove that, and spool back on. It's cold outside, what else do you have to do?
I have OCD "Obsessive Crappie Disorder"OneidaEagle thanked you for this post
Jerry,
For all the ribbing you take regarding Becky, this childrens photo I found at the Ionia Daycare facility sure has a striking Ginger type resemblence to someone else who was known to once frequent that location!

I knew what he was up to also.....but I love throwing that How To up there since last summers discussion about calibrating line counter reels.
Still love that deer in the headlight look I got from OE when I told him all the info was on his sons new website.....

See,
Rich is crazy too, either he understood it, and can speak Polish, or maybe a bit of "Ginger Gibberish"
That was the plan, but not sure what I'm going to use for a reel, I need to strip one, I might just use the drill and spool it back onto the original spools. then spool it backwards. Then I never have to take my backing off ever again. I can just reel off the old line, and connect 300 yards to the backing over and over.
I'm at work too, I'm sick of it, its 43 degrees outside, and I want to go fishing. I may just go home and sit in my boat and jig on the garage floor for awhile

I’m working too, staining 6 panel oak doors, ran out to do a 30x40 pole barn quote, now flipped doors over putting stain on that side.
