I met up with Bill at BPS, and I asked him if he would personalize a tackle box for Aiden.

Girls do much better at these events than boys do.

My wife took over the majority of the coaching duties this year. Had one young man sick all week, lost 15lbs and shot a 280 to tie for 1st in the boys high school division. A girl won with an overall 287.

Abby shot 256 and her best friend shot 259 to go 2nd and 3rd in the sixth grade.

We coached a total of 10 kids at this event and sent 4 of them to the state competition in March. Last year we only had 1.

All the kids shot better overall scores except for one boy who had just got done playing 3 games of basketball.

This event was postponed 2 weeks which threw a wrench into other plans to shoot the Junior Olympics (also today). Abby's friend shot it this morning (70 arrows) and we think it hurt her score slightly.

This event today is fingers only instinct shooting without sights. The junior Olympics would have been her speed bow with release and sights.

I taught my wife to shoot. I started witj instinct fingers when I was three.

Abby started two years ago as a surprise to me. I do more advising than coaching with her.

Still have to wait and see. 2 are guaranteed to state, the other two we are not sure.

We shoot as individuals and not a team (not enough kids per grade division). The rules for individual qualification lists the top 5 per division but we are unsure if they subtract out the kids that qualify with team scores.

I heard a nearby lake was all open, I think this weekend I'm going to put the boat in the water and make sure the trolling motor overhaul was a success.

I've heard that many people will be trolling lake Erie and Saginaw bay this weekend too!!!
