    Default Fall camp information

Was wondering if Waffle Farm in Coldwater is ok with the group ? I was hoping they would let us use a shelter but it will cost 50 dollars plus they want a launch fee also, so let me know. Maybe their is a better choice. Would like to have it Sept. 22, 23, 24.

Don't have to launch at Waffle Farm. There is a public launch on Craig Lake that is adjacent to the north side of Waffle Farm campground.

BTW, the north chain of lakes (Craig, Morrison, Randall, Cemetary) have very good crappie fishing.

If there is enough people, the procurement of the shelter should not be a problem. Just let me know if there is going to be enough people to warrant it and I will get a check in the mail to you when you need it.

There was a launch right at the end of Waffle Point Rd when you come to the lake when we held camp there some years ago. Google satellite shows it.

I think it's a great idea, we have been wanting to go there ourselves for a while now and haven't done it.

Let us know when you pick a firm date so we can plan on attending.

Just so everyone is clear, there are no public launch sites on Morrison Lake where Waffle Farm is located. I live just across the lake from Waffle Farm. Closest public launch is on Craig lake which is immediately adjacent to Waffle Farm Campground. There is another public launch on Randall Lake but it is much farther away from the campground than the one on Craig Lake. Also, The Country Cove Store just up the road from the campground has minnows and other live bait. You can even drive your boat up the channel behind the store to get what you need.
