I wish I would have grabbed a couple more boards of it when I had a chance. My friend owned a sawmill in the UP, was selling out but told me if I wanted some odds and ends to come and get some. I got a few birdseye maple planks, a little butternut and 2 big (5"x 12" x 10 foot) pieces that I got for fireplace mantels.....1 is cherry the other is tiger maple.

I had plans of my boys and myself building a cabin up there someday and using the tiger maple......but plans change.

I have a pile of maple logs at a buddies that I hope have started to spalt. We're gonna open one up this spring and see what stage they're at. Plan on sawing some live edge table slabs along with some 4/4 . Everything I get is salvaged from blow downs. This past fall we hauled 85 8'6" logs, maple, ash, cherry, walnut, beech and bitternut. Haven't been to the woods in a while but after the blow we had last week I'm sure there's more to haul.

Up for grabs Aaron, all you gotta do is place in the top 3.

You don"t need to worry about me though, I haven"t caught a crappie in the last 2 camps I've been too......come to think of it, I've only been to 2.

I can not commit to it just yet. I might try and drive up for a meet & greet, but that's "Iffy" as well.

I have a Hog Roaster, 360 Sq Feet of Desk, and a Open House for my Son that needs to get done.
All around that weekend time frame. So your record is safe from me..... This year anyways.
