Day one, if only we could start over. 17 degrees at the ramp. Had to start the heater to warm up the outhouse!
Boat in the water, no pee in the pee hole. 5 minute warm up, still nothing. Mind you I knew the impeller was good as it was pushing water out my flush plug when open. Pee hole full of ice. Needed wire. Steve found Al's mini-van seat still in the dumpster. Yes, I clipped the wires with my multi tool.
Wire not good enough. In the end, I used Steve's heater as mine nearly blew up after crapper duty. Used a screw driver and the handle of a pair of pliers to heat up. Poured a bit of water in the pee hole, then put the heated pliers in to boil the water. Worked like a champ!
Oh the fishing... never saw a fish caught. River was mud soup with six inches visibility max. Steve did his best to raise the lead level in the water! We hit a couple fish but they couldn't see the bait. Went with larger profile darker baits in shallow water as fish feel more comfortable in shallow with low visibility. I used all my luck on the ice clean out.

No fish but good conversation covering such topics as it being so cold it is hard to pee through 5" of Carhartt's. The water color and visibility is similar to the toilet water after a night of eating bean burrito's. The guy in the back of the boat getting snagged on the bottom gives the guy in the front of the boat ample time to reel his jig up to avoid also getting snagged.

At least the crapper was there this time.
I thought I was being a considerate guest by not killing the toilet at his house, and choosing to wait and use the outhouse at the ramp....
till we show up at the ramp and the crapper is no where to be found....
Here fishy, fishy, fishy...
