I despise wasted storage, and looking at my empty EMERGENCY Crap bucket was just such a issue.
Been poking around in new boat, and realized that my EMERGENCY crap bucket was allot of wasted space.
I had clothes that were folded, and placed in one hatch, and an empty buck in another. How do I maximize that empty Crap bucket?
No one is allowed to answer that question, I already know what Steve, Rich, Skillet, Jimmy are thinking...........
Well, a "Large" Cabela's Dry Bag was just what was needed. I did try a Medium, but it was to small, and still left a lot of wasted space on the inside diameter of the bucket.
Large – 25"H x 11" dia.
Capacity: 2,375 cu. in.
Wt: 1.4 lbs.
I have a Cabela's Guide Wear hoodie, and Striker Ice Hoodie, and 4 Shirts, pair of pants, 2 pair of short packed away in the dry bag, and shoved into the bucket to increase & maximize my storage.
I will probably get everything out, and get a complete change of cloths and a towel/ small blanket in it as well. As most of the clothes that are in it right now are my summer clothes.
I now look at the hatch where the clothes were just folded, and sitting on the bottom, and think DANG, I got allot of room back.
But the idea on a smaller boat works well too. Any 5 gallon bucket, and the listed size Dry bag, and anyone can have whatever they choose in a dry bag, and maximize space.
