    Default Hello Friends

I just wanted to stop by and say hello to all my Crappie.com Michigan friends. It looks like you all have been enjoying the summer and some good fishing. I personally have only been crappie fishing three times all summer. Not that I haven't wanted to go fishing, but I have committed almost all my free time to training for my Michigan Coast To Coast For Disabled Veterans fundraiser. After having done this 220 mile, nonstop, bicycle and kayak trip four years ago, I learned that if I wanted to do it a bit quicker than the 39 hours it took, I would need to train harder, so I am. Other than that the summer has been going well.Next week it's a trip to Wyoming for my oldest sons wedding and a bit of sight seeing, and then only two weeks after that I take off on my fundraising adventure. I hope the rest of the summer goes good for you all. Take care my friends.

    Frank,

Great to see the fundraiser for a good organization. Let me know if you need any kind of military support! I have no less than 8 Marine Corps recruiting offices that you will be traversing through that might be happy to help you out in any way you need.

The biggest help I could get would be to see some people along the route giving me some encouragement. It is a long, grueling, journey and I can use all the encouragement possible. Even if I do better my first time by a few hours, which is what I am expecting, it will still be 35 or 36 hours nonstop. My family will be posting updates regularly as I make my way across the state, with estimated times of arrival at various points along the route. Also, liking and sharing my fundraiser Facebook page to help spread the word would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rich.

Thank you Chris, very much appreciated. Less than three weeks before I take off and all is going well. Donations are starting to come in and getting me nearer to my goal. My riding and paddling times are right on track, and lots of support is being offered from all around, and out of, the state. Thanks to everyone and please continue to share my page and be sure to check it out on September 12 at 6:00am as I begin my nonstop journey across the lower peninsula of Michigan. There will be regular live updates about my progress on my fundraiser page throughout the entire weekend as I make my way across the state. Michigan Coast To Coast For Disabled Veterans, One Man, One Bicycle, One Kayak, 220 miles nonstop. Raising funds to help provide veterans with cost free outdoor events.
