Well it was HomeComing for the Fightin Gators, and we always invite Vanderbilt to play victim. I have seen a few times when they won, but for the most part it is a cupcake game. Last week we lost to Kentucky, helping them get all excited for themselves. Talk about how things have turned around for that program. Then they played Georgia. A tasty dose of humility followed.
Ohio State won their game.
Notre Dame lost theirs. I watched that one until I fell asleep.
Watched the highlighted version of the Red River Rivalry. That was a great game. Oklahoma bettered Texas in the end with a nice play in the waining seconds. BOOM Texas goes down. Oh well.
I worked all day and into the evening so I didn’t get to see much in the way of games. Cooked a wedding meal for some nice folks. Brisket, grilled chicken in a mushroom sage sauce, mac & cheese, homestyle green beans, loaded mashed potatoes, and yeast rolls.
Today though I plan to watch a few NFL games. See I am babysitting my father-in-law’s dog all day and cannot simply go fishing or something. Sit around and watch the dog. She is some kind of hunting dog and is the most relaxed and calm dog I have ever met. They got her used, after several litters. The breeder asked top dollar and got it I suppose. She is very sweet. She even tolerates Charli and that is saying an awful lot. Nobody gets to ignore Charli.
I setup a TV in the garage during the lead-up to the hurricane, and have been enjoying watching the games out there. No need to concern myself if some salsa hits the floor. LOL. My wife gets to watch what she wants to watch, drivel mostly, ridiculous stuff actually, on her inside TV. I watch Fooball outside. With snacks and such. Might smoke me some ribs this morning and get sauce everywhere during the game. I like to use lots of sauce. I mix Sweet Baby Rays, chili sauce, garlic, and a little teriyaki, and it gets applied liberally.
Maybe they will bite this one……
