I was watching the Cowboys and the Rams. First half, everything went all wrong for the Rams. Blocked punts, interceptions, sacks, whatever could go wrong did. No need to watch second half.

Your Steelers met a pretty good team. The Jaquars haven’t been in the playoffs in 16 years or so. They got them a long haired quarterback and he does pretty good. Took Clemson to a national title. They still ain’t gonna win notning, but they might make playoffs this year.

My Fightin Gators laid down and let the ****zus beat them. I tried to watch but it was just too much for me. First possession and it looked like they were ready to play. After that not sure what happened.
Maybe they will bite this one……

The past couple of weekends the Buckeyes have looked lackluster at best. We would probably be a 2 loss team without Marvin Harrison Jr and Treyveon Henderson. This week and next are no test for the Buckeyes we play Michigan State and then Minnesota both games being at home . The Saturday after Turkey we travel up north to take on TTUN which should be a good game.

Well you are ranked Number 3 right now and that ain’t all bad you know.

The Fightin’ Gators looked horrible against Arkansas on Saturday. It was a home game as well. They played badly all game but near the end were left with an opportunity to kick a field goal and win. Instead they played fire drill for idiots. The offense made a play down field and ran up to spike the ball. At the same time the kicking team decided they should run out onto the field. This resulted in a penalty and backed the kicker off enough to miss.

I could understand this except for the fact that this has been the norm for two seasons now. The home crowd booed several of his doofus play calls. Over dinner someone said that he needed an offensive coordinator. I said yes, and hope he gets one at the next school he coaches for.

Gainesville is a tough school to coach at. The fans want to see the team play at a fairly high level. Sort of like the other big programs. They don’t have to finish in the top ten every year, but missing bowl games is not acceptable to anyone. We have heard all the excuses, and they have tried to fix them. They have a state of the art facility with all manner of things available. Like the big screen the QB practices in front of. The school has spent a fortune trying to upgrade because that was the excuse for the guy a few coaches back.

They say that this coach was a good recruiter. I don’t believe that. No one wants to come to Gainesville now. The athletic director will need to fire this guy and I imagine he is already searching for the replacement. I suppose most future prospects don’t want to come because it is two seasons and done around here. Then even if the coach has some success they seem to want to leave. Urban Decay claimed he had heart failure issues and needed to quit. They let him out of the contract and he ran up there to spread his vile stuff all over your program. The doctor said he didn’t have a thing wrong with his heart, he just wanted out.

Could be we have a Bull Gator problem, which has been my guess all along. These are the rich people that think they can coach and do other things as well as they make money. Their money comes with all manner of strings, too. The coach has to make himself available to hang out with them while they get drunk at gatherings. Has to respond to them when they make demands. Spurrier was the only one that could tell them to shove it, but that was because he was coach for life. Until he wanted out, too.

I expect the bureaucracy to select yet another young coach and then grind him up like the others. They want to win games that they should win, and lose the ones they must. Right now we lose the games we should, and lose the games we should have won. Our future looks to get even bleaker with the three games coming up that will tack on three more losses.

    LSU- we will loose
    Missouri- we will loose
    FSU- we will loose

We are at 5-4, soon to be 5-7 to finish out yet another wasted season. They should have fired this coach last year like I wanted. Pretty obvious he was in over his head, thrashing about trying to keep himself together. So again I predict we will be needing a coach. The crowds at the stadium only boo when they come to the same conclusion.

BTW- at the end of the game, during the loser’s media thingie, they asked about the idiocy that was on display. The coach blamed it on one of the players. Said the young man made a mistake and that he was fine with it. Well that is not what any of us wanted to hear. Players do make mistakes, that is true, but he made the mistake because he was poorly coached. Blaming the players is the surest sign that you are done in Gainesville.

The Fightin’ Gators were playing LSU, and I watched the first half and went to sleep, comforted in the knowledge that they would lose again. They did. They are 5 and 5 now. I read a story that said if they fire the coach they have to pay him an extra 22 million to buy him out. That sure is some arrangement he got for himself.

First year with the team they go 6-7. A losing year. This year they are 5-5 headed for 5-7. We play a fairly tough schedule, but still these results are bad. I don’t see a reason to aim for another losing season. No bowl game. No reason for top prospects to consider UF. We really haven’t done well in a long time.

I watched some of the Missouri game against Tennessee, and that team looked pretty good. That running back they got looked fantastic. Fast, elusive and powerful. He made a very good defense look like chumps.

I also watched the Penn State and Michigan game and that was a great game. Good defenses and some very nice offensive plays. Michigan looked like it deserves it’s ranking. They were not allowed to have their coach on the sidelines because of a cheating scandal. Supposedly…… they have been getting intel from some weirdo that has been stealing the signs of other teams. The Michigan coach would certainly had to know about it because it affected their play calling. This is an old rule. Not supposed to be stealing signs. The New England Patriots got caught stealing signs, now Michigan.

Other teams that played Michigan were aware that it had been going on. We don’t know who told the rules people about it. During the game I saw Michigan players purposefully blocking the TV camera’s view. They would stand directly in front of the camera so…….nobody could see what they were discussing. Hadn’t seen that being done before, which kind of tells me the whole team knows about it.

Michigan is a great team, but there should be a punishment for engaging in this sort of scheme. Coaches have to be able to use secret signals, and scumbags should not be stealing the signs. At least some of their games involved the use of stolen signs, so I think they should be barred from post season playoff contention. Good team, poor decision by the coach. Barring the coach from the side line for a few games isn’t going to deter others that may be doing the same thing right now.

How do you feel about teams that sent sign info that they obtained to another team in a conference championship game?

    Shame.

The team that sent it sucks, and if the team that got it, used it, then they too sucks.

Now if a player, on his own figures something out during a game, that’s different,
