I didn’t watch one game but instead hung tree stands on our place. Looked at scores and see the SEC had some good games

Big game in the SEC tonight @ 7 with UK visiting Georgia. OSU hosts the University of Maryland at noon which might turn out to be an interesting game. Prolly gonna watch em taped cause my great grandson is coming to stay with us. He is 6 months old but loves to play with his Pappy. We usually have Looney Toons on TV when he is here.

Well it was HomeComing for the Fightin Gators, and we always invite Vanderbilt to play victim. I have seen a few times when they won, but for the most part it is a cupcake game. Last week we lost to Kentucky, helping them get all excited for themselves. Talk about how things have turned around for that program. Then they played Georgia. A tasty dose of humility followed.

    Ohio State won their game.

Notre Dame lost theirs. I watched that one until I fell asleep.

Watched the highlighted version of the Red River Rivalry. That was a great game. Oklahoma bettered Texas in the end with a nice play in the waining seconds. BOOM Texas goes down. Oh well.

I worked all day and into the evening so I didn’t get to see much in the way of games. Cooked a wedding meal for some nice folks. Brisket, grilled chicken in a mushroom sage sauce, mac & cheese, homestyle green beans, loaded mashed potatoes, and yeast rolls.

Today though I plan to watch a few NFL games. See I am babysitting my father-in-law’s dog all day and cannot simply go fishing or something. Sit around and watch the dog. She is some kind of hunting dog and is the most relaxed and calm dog I have ever met. They got her used, after several litters. The breeder asked top dollar and got it I suppose. She is very sweet. She even tolerates Charli and that is saying an awful lot. Nobody gets to ignore Charli.

I setup a TV in the garage during the lead-up to the hurricane, and have been enjoying watching the games out there. No need to concern myself if some salsa hits the floor. LOL. My wife gets to watch what she wants to watch, drivel mostly, ridiculous stuff actually, on her inside TV. I watch Fooball outside. With snacks and such. Might smoke me some ribs this morning and get sauce everywhere during the game. I like to use lots of sauce. I mix Sweet Baby Rays, chili sauce, garlic, and a little teriyaki, and it gets applied liberally.
Maybe they will bite this one……

Cool that you have a TV in your garage. My wife likes football so we watch it together. Ohio State isn’t worth of their #4 ranking and will most likely stay there or drop after their lackluster performance against Maryland. I watched the Alabama game and half of the UK disaster against the Dawgs.

We are blessed with our great grandson this weekend so he gets our time and love and the cartoons are on YAY!

Them Fightin Gators got them a road win in South Carolina. I predicted a loss, but instead they had a come from behind victory. I did not watch the game, so it was a pleasant surprise. We have a couple more losses facing us.

Here in Gainesville, there are two games that count. We measure our coaches based on whether or not they beat Georgia and Florida State. Those are the two big games each year. I suspect we are in for a drubbing, but it sure would be nice to spoil their seasons.

Congratulations on the win. Didn’t get to see The Ohio State Buckeyes play cause 1) they were on a streaming channel which made me mad and 2) we were at the KY Shindig which made me happy so it’s a wash right? This coming Saturday Penn State comes to town for a noon kick on Fox so I’ll be glued to the TV. Full on hunting mode now that the shindig is over….

The Fightin Gators had the day off.

Watched the referees in the Penn State Ohio State game trying to get noticed by the crowd. There were some questionable calls on both teams. Penn State lost a scoop and score touchdown due to a foul that can be called on every play. Ohio State had a really bad call made on them at a crucial point in the game.

It seems like the refs are biased, then get nervous that they will get caught taking payola, and make a horrible call going the other way so as to shield their complicity with the mob. Bad calls happen, but it sure does seem that some bad calls seem to have really good timing, too. Offensive Holding for example. It gets called when they want to keep a team from scoring. Defensive Holding gets called when they want a team to score. Wish it wasn’t so, but there are too many examples seen each week.

Anyways it was a good game and Ohio State wanted the win a little more than their rivals. Good game for them.

I watched some of the Alabama Tennessee game and wanted Tennessee to win. Oh well they lost. I do not particularly care for Alabama as I feel they have a huge advantage in recruiting, facilities, etc. Tired of seeing them play for the title. Want to see someone new get a chance.

Michigan crushed their cross state rival Michigan State. What a drubbing. Michigan’s offense looks like they got their act together. Michigan State has a good defense, but they laid right down and let them Wolverines trample all over them. Score was 49 - 0. State will want some revenge next year, but probably will lose again.

Florida State beat Duke but nobody cared. LOL

And how about Air Force undefeated and ranked at # 22.

UCF almost beat Oklahoma and I was rooting them on. UCF is down the road from me a piece. It is also…..wait for it….wait….the largest college in America. Bet you didn’t know that did you ? Each year their program gets a little better. They play Oklahoma hard and lead the game for most of it.

Washington is doing very well this year, although I haven’t seen them playing. Highlights was all, but they seem to be pretty good.

The Bulldogs won again….boooooooo. I suppose they will best my Fightin Gators next week, but that’s OK. We have destroyed several of their best seasons where they were destined to play for the title. LOL. Their fans will be on pins and needles I guarantee it. Lowly Gators have pounded them far too many times for them to relax. Completely unranked, we just seem to ruin their seasons. Nothing better than watching BullDog fans beller and crybaby. Waaaahhhhhh Waaaaahhhhh goes the little people of football.

My Gators can beat any team on any given day. They can also lose to any team on any given day. I am used to it. I have seen them stink up the field against a cupcake team they paid to come play. Awful. Then I have seen them as underdogs simply open up a big old can of Whoop ( ). I keep asking friends who our coach will be next year. That is how things go in Title Town. You win the game….. you are a hero. Lose…..and you’re a bum and you better get out of Dodge. Fickle I guess, but we accept losses pretty well. I think we do anyways. All we really want is a coach that will beat Georgia and the Criminoles. Lose all the other games, but win those two, and we think they are a great coach.

    Go Gators
Maybe they will bite this one……

The defense certainly won out but Ohio State’s offense is very suspect. 3 more games until our trip up north to take on TTUN. Congratulations to your Gators.

Speaking of the refs getting involved. They managed to ROB Iowa of a win agains Minnesota.

Also refs affected the outcome of the Steelers game in our favor but still a poor call and spot on the QB sneak by Kenny Pickett.

    On to this week.
