    Default Speedo Question

My speedo doesn't work, I found a small rubber hose down on the foot of the lower unit that was off and replaced that, the hose is on the back of the speedo unit on the dash.
Any ideas where to start looking? I assume it works off pressure or vaccum and the small hose is aprt of the delivery system.

    Thumbs up

You Might want to look on the leeding edge of your lower unit , there is a little hole that senses the water pressure to read your speed sometimes it will get stopped up with alittle peice of debris, just take a little drill bit or a small peice of wire and clean out that port.

That would make sense since the hose I found on the leading edge of the lower unit. When to rain lets up I'll check that out. Thanks

    Default speedo

This happens on my yamaha every year. Take a 1/32 or 1/16th drill bit and turn it by hand in the hole in front of the foot of your lower unit. A bit of debris should come out followed by a bit of water. Patience and care are the key here. Don't break off the bit in there. Good luck.
