Thanks guys, I am taking it all into consideration, plus some of the suggestions of guys here at work. I have started by getting a fuel filter, be here tomorrow or monday. On the way home from work, I am stopping by Autozone to rent a compression gauge, and get a spark tester. lthough I do not think it is that out of kilter, i am going to take the prop to get straigtend, and the carb has been cleaned, and getting new plugs and new gas for the heck of it (although this has been covered about 2 weeks ago) .

If that don't work, it will go to the shop. Hope it is something easy that the above fixes.

    Thanx to all,
    matt

Sounds like water in the gas to me. Or should I say in the carb.s Most of the time it is the cheapest thing and most over looked. I think my fuel tank got some water in it over the winter. Gonna clean tank and start fresh. Also, went out last Monday night to put some boo out and my fuel line cracked right at the tank. Was a pain in the butt. Working on fuel line in the dark and cold, but we got her done.

Not far away. In Bryant if you need some help with it. Tom Booth over there on 165 is very good with them too.

Hey Matt, it can get pretty frustrating trying to troubleshoot motor problems. It is most likely one of the things already mentioned, but just a couple other things non-motor related to check out...

Take a look at your keel and make sure that you haven't bent any aluminum out of shape on a stump. Also take your prop off and see if you've got some trotline wrapped up in the prop.

Where is Tom Booth's place? I live 2 miles off of 165 in Scott (sort of)

OK, I decided to go ahead and take a looksie at the prop after looking at the fuel filter and plugs and checking spark and all that jazz. I took it off and put it next to a "good prop" on a buddy's boat. Well after that, I decided to go ahead and order a new one anyways, since I had been wanting a SS prop for over 2 years now (on sale). Here is what I found:

That don't look good. You could have it rebuilt and keep it for a spare. That prop must have been vibrating a lot.

No bibration at all, I have been thinking of when it could have happened... Probably during early canada goose season trying to get into a back water on AR river, trying to "push thru" a sandbar. Only thing I can think of . But hey, on the water tomorrow to see if it works right now.

yeah, that prop had lost its bite...lift...cup...lol. :D

Glad you figured it out!! I know its a sigh of relief!! Always makes you feel good to know that it wasn't an actual motor problem. CONGRATS!!
