Awesome! Those will be great to reference if/when I try to hook it up.

I had this same coupler on a trailer and had the same issues. This is an Atwood coupler. No parts, or rebuild kits available for it. I disconnected my brakes, had the coupler cut off and a new EZ Lock coupler installed. I tow the boat only short distances and so far no issues with my truck handling the slowing or stopping of the trailer. No more 30 minutes of trying to get hooked up either.

Here's a link with a suggested replacement for the obsolete attwood coupler.

    Just a moment...

Thanks guys. That's a big help.

Haven't bought the boat yet so not taking any action at the moment. Hopefully something happens soon. Was waiting on them to accept an offer I gave them but since then I have had to fix the AC for both my wife's vehicle and our house, and while changing her oil I noticed some bad irregular wear on her tires that were getting worn already so having to get new set of tires too. When it rains it pours I guess. In the meantime maybe they will hang onto it and I can make sure no new big expenses pop up before dropping some more money on a new project.
