    Default Alternative Shallow Water Anchors

Was interested in some Talons, Power Poles or Raptors until i found how much they cost now. With brackets, installation I found they would run about 5000.00. That is out of my budget. Other than the standard pitch over the side anchors on a rope, are there any less expensive options out there?

I wonder how these hold when you have rough water wind or boat wakes?

Look up his online store and ask him some questions about your concerns. He seems like a nice guy in his videos.

That looks like a real good way to go. If you had the pieces to put a rod together in whatever length was needed you could make your own mounts for your specific rig if wanted.

you can also find an old electric trolling motor mount and remove the old shaft replace with a pipe as needed.

I carry a long piece of 5/8in stainless steel rod with a eye welded on the end to tie a rope to. Doesn't work that great in sand unless you can push it down. I also have a 12ft section of a Moonlighter Push Pole that I made a aluminum T on top that I pin out with in deeper water.
