    Default Tilt trim popping.

Gentlemen, I'm looking for some advice. Mariner 150. When trimming up or down under a load ( in gear ) the trim makes a popping noise. Any ideas as to the cause?

I'd guess it needs lube on the pins/bushings, but you've probably already shot some grease in the fittings and WD40'd the cyl pins? Is it a continuous pop, pop, pop as it goes up/down or a single pop as it changes directions?

Someone suggested putting a little grease on the push rods with the little roller bearings. That seems to have been the culprit. Lubed them up and the popping is gone. Thanks guys.

Lube on the push rod rollers done the trick. Popping is gone.
