It's awesome that your boat is 65 years old and still catching fish.
I still have a 1968 12’ Grumman with a transom drain plug.
I also have the original drain plug, and it looks and works the same as the new ones do.
That's good to know. I stand corrected. Not all vintage boats had the small bottom-style drain plug.
However, mine is a 1957 Lonestar. That decade probably spelled the difference. '68 was a year before the Moon Landing. A lot changed technologically in that time frame. Remember in '57 cars didn't even have oil filters. The video was for those who have vintage boats equipped with a "non-modern" drain plug.
