    Default why is that

i have a 14ft v hull aluminum boat, with 2 new batteries this season. the boat has a 6 yr old 46lb thrust foot controlled motor up front. and a new 55 lb thrust minn kota on the transom, this boat for the last yr or so has always done 4mph on a smooth lake, the last few times out i can only get 3.6mph, is it possible the front motor is losing power, the rear motor is wired direct to the battery, the front motor is a plug in the panel. sort of puzzled.

Lots of variables to consider for sure. More weight in the boat? Possibly the new batteries are heavier?

GPS speed? Locked onto different satellites to trianglate your speed? .4 mph is surely within tolerance of GPS speed measuring
