it’s really weird because BOTH sides do it the same… makes me thing it’s something in the actuator vs the caliper or pads weird… i’m gonna keep digging.

No, i haven't had a chance to disassemble calipers/pads and all that jazz yet. I did go camping last weekend, pulled the boat without incident, noise maybe was a touch better, but it was still there. I stopped twice along the way and got real intimate with my wheels/tires, and nothing was hot...Next week is super busy for me so, i probably will not have much time either, so hopefully next weekend i can take a deep dive into calipers/pins/pads and have a look. I'll keep you folks posted, thanks for staying close to it with me.

This. Maybe change pads even if yours are good, they are cheap enough.

I just wanted to circle back to this thread and hoping it might helpsomeone else. I had this 'dragging' issue for quite a while on my brand new Load Rite trailer. After many times of going to the lake and beign embarrassed about how bad my boat trailer sounded, i finally discovered the issue. I've taken the wheels off a dozen times looking and couldn't find anything wrong, no weird wearing or chatter marks or anything. The noises would stop immediately when you hit the brakes so, i was confident it was something in the brake system. I finally found that i had a missing clip on the drivers side... the passenger side has the clip. So, i ordered it, installed it, and my problems are drastically improved. I couldn't believe after so many times of looking at it that the obvious missing clip was overlooked. Anywho, my point is, just because it's new doesn't meant it's right. I'm still pissed that i had $22 in shipping for a $4 part... Thanks to all who tried helping me out with this.
