They make an impact driver you strike with a hammer that takes large screw driver bits. That is usually my go to for stuck slotted head screws. They are an inexpensive tool
I'm asking for advice on removing the lower unit drain and fill screws, on a 2015 Tohatsu 9.8HP.
They both take a flat tip screw driver. Couldn't get them to budge. Tried holding the screw driver, and hitting the end of the screw driver with a hammer, while turning it, neither one will budge.
Tried an impact, nothing.
Any tips?
When I get them off, would like to replace with something other than one's that take a flat tip.
Drinkin coffee, missin fish.

Side note: always replace the washers on the drain and fill screws anytime you remove them. I buy them in bulk since the shipping cost is usually 10X what each washer costs by itself.
