Yes, NGK is the way to go. I have a 135 Opti and I thought ours would be the same. Turns out, the 150 Opti is the only one that's different. See the P/N's at this site.

How can you tell a fake from the OE? Are the markings or boxes different?

Not enough that a normal guy can pick out the fakes. Easiest way is to buy from an auto or marine shop, you can be almost 100% sure you are getting legit. If you buy from amazon or ebay, you will probably get fake.
