I was at my local ford dealership last week. I know the owner and most of the salesman, mechanics, etc.
Sat in the showroom shooting the breeze for a while.
It is just mind boggling the prices of trucks and SUV’s.
Paid less for my house than what a new super duty diesel cost.
The salesman said there were only a couple vehicles you could buy for sticker price. All others were 10k over sticker.
I guess if people continue to pay it will stay that way.
Ford truck plant and another plant that builds the escape is only 10–-15 miles away from me.
They have Thousands upon Thousands of those vehicles parked in my county and several other locations waiting on some part or another.
Not even the computer chip.
Wiper motors, door handles, and other things.
The supply chain is unreal on some of the stuff.
My buddies son is the Building Chairman for the Union at 1 plant and says it’s not getting much better.
I think the bottom is gonna fall out of the car industry at some point but that’s just My opinion.
