Fuel demand valve troubleshooting.
2018 Yamaha F70 wouldn’t run today. Primer bulb would not get firm, but would move some gas when I pressed the ball on the end of the hose. I went straight to the fuel demand valve, thinking it was a a on/off valve. It would release some vapor when I pressed on the top of it with a screwdriver, but bulb still would not get firm. I disconnected the hose downstream of the demand valve, nothing happened. When I disconnected the upstream side, it was pressurized. I removed the valve all together and the bulb would firm up, but I noticed a small drip on the fuel/water filter. I was able to replace the o-ring and stopped the drip.
Is there any troubleshooting that can be done with these valves? Should I reinstall it, buy new, or just leave it out?
