    Default Solar panels on boat?


    Anyone tried solar panels on a boat?
    Im wanting to try some on my pontoon for the trolling motor for camping trips.

    With the area avaliable on a pontoon boat. Solar Panels are doable. I have thought of putting them on a center console as the roof of a T top. Get good panels and a good charge controller. An MPPT controller utilizes all of the power from the panels meaning more available power to charge the batteries I have 2 100 watt Renogy panels on the chicken coop to provide lighting in the morning and heat for the waterers in winter. They have been going strong for 4 years now
