Installing my own Livescope. Manual say that the module can be wired from 12v- 36v. Anyone wired the module to their trolling batteries? I have a 24v system 2 Group 29 deep cycles. I am considering wiring the module to these and having the head unit on my cranking battery (which is the same as the others) I would appreciate any thoughts and comments.
I do not plan to add any additional batteries to my boat as my storage is minimal.

I have my livescope, 93 and 102 on my group 31 cranking and can go all day and some. Run my livewell and radio while I’m out too. Ended 7 hour trip the other day and was at 12.3v.

When I do eventually get a LS, it will all be run off of the power tool battery setup! There is NO way I will jeopardize my trolling or cranking batteries!
Just my opinion!

I am mounting mine in February and powering with Dewalt 20v batteries with voltage regulators and SEELITE Dewalt Battery Adapter. That will alleviate any interference whatsoever, make a small footprint in the boat and should be very nice.

If 36 volt is the max keep this in mind. 3 healthy fully charged 12 volt batteries will give you 38 volts plus.
I use a stand alone 30 AH lithium ion battery I got from Scheels. Amped Outdoors battery with a charger. $189 for battery and 19.99 for charger. It weighs six pounds. Last year I ran my black box on a 18 volt Makita tool battery and the graph on my cranking battery. Always got nervous when the volt gauge showed under twelve volts. That is why I switched, plus the lithium battery will last longer per charge and battery life is over twice what lead acid batteries will last.

Only run trolling motor on trolling motor batteries.
Lithium for LVS32 and GLS10.
Keep all wiring away from trolling motor wiring. Shield all wiring.
If space is very limited use a Dewalt or similar battery.
What size is your monitor?
Should figure about a 5AH drain on your batteries with Livescope system.
Good luck.
Do it right the first time and don’t cut corners. You’ll be glad you did.
