I guess it's a "made you look" moment? That reminds me of a video a friend sent me titled awesome planer board video. It was a 5 minute video of a planer being pulled through the water and no fish were caught. At the end it said thanks for watching.

Yes it was click bait. Sorry. I’ve been amazed at how little gas it uses since I bought it. I didn’t fish much at all this summer but I know I haven’t put gas in it since sometime this past spring. I decided to start keeping tabs of how much I put in it so I started a note on my phone. If someone fishes almost every day they’d pay off a boat just in gas savings.

I had a Johnson 150 2 stroke. Downsized boats now running a 60hp Mercury fuel injected motor. Doesn't use much fuel at all.

How times have changed.... I used to have a 15ft bass boat with a 50 evinrude 2 stroke on it and I carried a 2 gallon spare tank with me at all times because the factory equipped 6 gal tank wouldn't always get me home! Now i've got a 25' center console with a 250 honda and I only fuel it about twice per year.

Yep, they just sip the fuel until you open em up and let the big dog eat. Then its a closer comparison to the 2 stroke.

Mine isn't a 150, I wish it was, but even running at or near WOT, it get's 3-4 times better fuel economy than any 2 stroke that I have ever owned.
