I have no idea about how you are using it but we had a small one years ago that my wife used to clean jewelry and it did a great job.
Unfortunately the cleaner is gone but fortunately that wife is too!
I got my first ultrasonic cleaner the other day. I went big and got the 15L, which hopefully won't be too big. Primary purpose will be to clean outboard parts, probably more so carbs. Any advice on which solvents to use and at what rate to dilute them with water? I know Simple Green is commonly used and that they also offer an aircraft cleaner that is safer for aluminum. Also saw where Mean Green works well. I've read to avoid Purple Power unless you dilute it a lot, but I'm not sure I'll ever even trust it enough to try it.
Right now I have a test batch running consisting of parts off an old junk carb. I put in 3 gal of water with a few squirts of Dawn and a few oz of simple green concentrate from the spray bottles. It's a pretty weak mixture but it's absolutely working.

We use straight diesel fuel in ours , at 65 degrees.
I have a smaller one that I clean gun parts with. Also doing cartridge brass for reloading. I would want to be careful with the cleaners and make sure it was safe for aluminum

Be careful !! Had a local bait shop owner that got one to clean reel parts & ended up physically crippled from inhaling the cleaner fumes. Now, this was decades ago & I don't know exactly what "cleaner" fluids he used ... but, it cost him his business (had to sell out) and likely much of his fortune in healthcare insurance & such.
Some cleaners become nasty stuff when heated

I would be interested to see what "Totally Awesome" from the Dollar Tree would do in there...
It was a oil base , leftover residue rite ?
Being safe for aluminum is probably my number one concern which is why the Simple Green Aircraft is appealing to me. Then something that doesn't break the bank. I'll probably start cleaning the smaller stuff in a glass jar full of solvent submersed in water since my unit is so large.
The test batch I ran yesterday turned out nice. The carb was already oxidized before putting it in though so it was hard to tell if there was any change in that.
