1996 NIRTO 195 DC - Ignition and other questions
Last night on the lake the boat died on the water when I hit some rough water and would not restart. I got it back to the marina and pulled it home. This morning I went out the see if the fuel pump was turning on. I found two things...
1. Turn the key on - audible beep, fuel pump turns on = engine fires up
2. Turn the key on - no audible beep no fuel pump = no fire
I'm fairly new to boats and I'm assuming that beep is tied into the safety switch. I'm going to pull the wiring diagram and find out. I was able to recreate the scenario over and over. I'm letting it cool down and then I'm going to go out try again.
Am I dumbing this down or is this a legitimate find?
Next, is it reasonable to think I can remove the batteries and charger, then pressure wash this area?

Finally, the previous own didn't tell me where the plug is located. I went online and found that the plug is tethered. I want to make sure this a true and correct statement. Is the threaded plug the same as the plug for the hull of the boat? The one between the two screws.
