Default MERC remote control neutral switch ??

My Jon boat shifter is the commander 2000 type. It was dealer installed. EVERYTHING works fine, except neutral switch. It shifts into neutral detent with no problems. BUT, neutral switch only activates when shifting slowly from reverse to neutral. DEALER replaced the first remote. It had the same problem. They never fixed it. BSers. There is no bind in the shift cable movements when shifting. Friction control makes no difference.

Is there any adjustment for the switch? Google let me down.

Tom, I can’t find a break down or anything on that control. Switch should be installed inside control box and yes there should be come kind of adjustment. You will have to at least partially disassemble the control to get to it. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Found this Tom, hopefully it’s like yours. 42 would be your switch and it should ride on cam #28 and should have a slight bit of adjustment

I had to stop on the boat and mow the lawn before the next round of rain moves in. I can place the boat in the carport and work on it, but it would be hard cut the grass from the carport.

I will try this tomorrow. My tail is dragging from lawn work.. It now takes me all day long to do what I used to do all day.

Getting there myself Tom. Glad to be on this side of the grass you’re mowing though.
