Thread: Putting ipilot on smaller boat

Okay guys I have a smaller boat 1973 Mon ark that is 16 ft and 57 seven I think at the widest point. I do a lot of long-line trolling and I currently use a transom mount 45 lb thrust variable speed Minn Kota. I have never looked at I pilots because I thought you had to go at least 24 volts and I didn't want that. I discovered that they make a 12-volt ipilot and I'm seriously considering that if it will work on my boat. From the pictures you can see the bow does not have much to connect it to. I assume I could add some wood upfront to connect it to? I would probably only run it while sitting back by the transom with the remote. Do you guys think I can get this to work on my boat?
