This is what I've got... That Round spot just to the left of the center support...
Well, I have an interesting delima. I have an older Aluminum V-bottom boat with a very small 1/4 inch drain on the flat floor of the boat about 4-inches from the transom. I would like a normal drain at the transom base. Anyone know how it's done with out paying a boat shop a couple hundred dollars to do it?
Any help/ advice would be helpful. Thanks. Eric, AKA "jamesdean"

You can buy the drain tube blanks but if you don’t have the proper tools to swedge the tube and flare it you fixing to create more problems than you going to solve.
Best I can think of is a no-female (smooth inside) bulkhead fitting. Not sure if they make them in the size of a standard drain plug or not, you could just buy a threaded one and use a pipe plug, but it wouldn't be much different than what you have.
Well I got to do something as that little hole is useless...might as well not be there at all.

That's the top of fuel tank sending unit. Looks like to me ?
I check with a marine dealer. May not be as much as you think. If not, I'd go with the bass pro one.

Mbsbeek, No sir, That is the existing drain hole in the floor of my boat. The opening is threaded to match a 1/4" or 3/16" pipe plug. I'm not sure of the original manufacturer of the boat. The title lists it as a Kansas home built, but it's not a home built. The best I can figure is the original data plat was lost when the transom was replaced sometime around 1969 as that's the year it's listed as. This drain dumps into a hollow skid on the bottom of the boat and drains out the back provided a dirt dobber hasn't built a nest in there...

Thank you cray. I'm probably gonna redo the transom again as it appears to have moisture getting thru the sealant and then do the fittings from B.P.
