    Default Mercury 60 HP carbs

how can i tell which carbs fit my motor ? When i look them up on the Merc page it has 4 or 5 different ones. I have a 1995 60 hp Merc Tracker with serial starting 0G11. I am wanting to get rebuild kits as well as possibly look at getting
    a spare set.
    TIA

Thinking this should cover your carbs. I’d get complete serial number and call these folks to make sure you get right parts.

On ebay I bought a service manual on cd for my Mercury 115 outboard, the same one used by Mercury Outboard Mechanics. I printed it off for quick anytime reference, and look thru the cd on my computer from time to time. It provides tons of information that you will find useful, and the price was not bad at all. My particular manual includes 90 hp thru 115 hp. The diagrams alone are well worth it.
I highly advise you to get one for your motor, you will find it useful time and time again.

All that's needed for those carbs are gasket kits. Which I do recommend you get to avoid a leaking gasket issue. That carb design is used on many different hp models and are reasonably priced. The Mercury number is 1395-8112231. There is an aftermarket kit available however the bowl gasket on those are slightly off on their bolt pattern. It's an easy fix with a leather punch but for the DIYer, I'd recommend the OEM kit. As for a spare set of carbs, I see no reason for getting them but if you push forward in that direction, you will find that they are in high demand by those looking to increase the hp on the 40/50hp model engines. Which means they bring a high price, new or used.

I have that 4 cylinder 40hp in a ‘95 model. If all it took was a set of 60 carbs, I’d be looking for some also.

You're out of luck on that. The 4 cylinder 40hp uses a different design carb. The 40/50/60hp 3 cylinders is what I was referencing.
