Never mind, I just found a clean aluminum boat.
I'm looking for a used aluminum boat and I see many that are stained on the bottom from apparently dirty water.
Will this stain come off without tarnishing the aluminum?
How to clean it?
Thanks
I believe I said a how to clean aluminum on Youtube when I was looking at pontoon boat.

Toilet bowl cleaner. Wash and polish after.
I have been in the process of cleaning an old aluminum grill, and have been sorely disappointed with cleaners I have found for aluminum. The EPA has weakened those big time. I remember Eagle One Aluminum Mag Wheel Cleaner that was like an acid, spray on, brush around, hose off and you were good to go. Not now. I have been scrubbing with all kinds of stuff (On the outside of the grill, which is not really all that bad) but to no avail.
Quite sad, actually.
I remember to old Eagle one cleaner

If it just aluminum and not painted ! Aluminum brite is your answer. I cleaned a old pontoon that I once had and it was unreal the discolor ! and it made it look new!
Watched one guy clean both logs on a pontoon with scotch brite. Acid wash would be the way to go

Product call Zing. It's an acid used for cleaning aluminum. Can get it or Alumabrite from auto parts stores. Both work extremely well. Use caution though it will give ya a nasty burn if not careful.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.Tev8514 thanked you for this post
