Thanks Again...
I have a 1979 Evinrude 150 XP outboard motor. It seems like it is not getting gas when I try to start. I want to buy fuel pump repair kit but it seems that every website (Crowley Marine, Evinrude, and etc.) gives me P/N 0393103 for the kit. I believe the upper fuel pump assy is #038855 and lower fuel pump assy is #0389440. But it the description the repair kit is for 1979-1983, 85 thru 140 HP. My confusion is that I have a 150 HP, premix gas/oil.
Will the repair kit (#0393103) caskets fit?
Will it fit both fuel pumps?
Do I need to repair both fuel pumps?
I want to buy the correct kit.
Thank you in advance for any info/knowledge/wisdom. Also hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!
I can also send small video of me cranking the motor. If you need/want to watch it not start. My fuel issue is ONLY a little educational guest.
Again THANKS....
David

I have also just learned: 1979 is wrong.... It is a 1983... Which will help find the correct pump kit.

Strmwalker,
I changed fuel inline filter, the fuel line ball and fuel line connector. I am going to check fuel line tube and screen today.
Thanks, I'm going to recheck all of the fuel line today.

strmwalker,
When you say "coming from inside the fuel line." Did you see any leaking? How did you figure that out?

I had the same problem on my 2000 year boat the inside of the fuel line was coming apart could not tell from the outside as the line looked and felt normal. Small white flakes of the inner liner was coming off causing fuel issues.
Cut the end of the fuel line off and looked inside you could see the flaking.
