    Default 88 Venture 16ft

I picked up this boat 650, and plan to do a restore. My plan is to remove all the carpet, fix soft spot in floor, put line x over storage bins, and floor, have seats reupholstered, and do a nice wash, wax a possible new gel coat. Or yeah new steering system. Fig this will be a nice summer project.

Now here are pics of what I'm working with

Today I removed the carpet on the floor, back and sides as much as I could get to. The manufacturer carpeted the whole floor with one piece of carpet. They laid the carpet then put the cap on so I cannot get to carpet under fiberglass areas. Under the carpet on the front casting deck is foam.

What the.. I have no idea what they were thinking. Really tape for rollers. Does anyone know if that scrapped keel will alter how the boat rides?Name: 20190428_150029.jpg

The top coat scratches I wouldnt worry about. That long line thats wide with glass showing I would repair. I bet it will be a nice fishing machine when you get done.
