Louis is correct .... everybody gots their favorites.

I've run three different brands on my last two boats, and had decent performance out of all of them. What I haven't had good performance (or luck) with is bias ply truck tires on the trailer. My best recommendation is to get radials, and keep the air pressure even and at max pressure for the rating of the tire. You're gonna get better performance & they'll last longer.

I've had Carlisle & Kenda Karrier tires on the last two boats, but I can't remember what brand I currently have on my boat. I do have one of the Kenda's on my current boat as the spare.

I, too, have to do a bit of Interstate/Parkway driving to get to the lakes I fish (generally around an hour's worth each way). Dry weight of boat/motor is right around 1900lbs, so I opt for the ST175/80R13 Radial - Load Range D (hwy rated @ 65mph @ 65psi).
