I would think a 4 blade would have a little more bite thus just a little slower hole shot than 3 blade. But on your Vbottom shouldn't be a big deal. I still think before spending your money try to find someone who would loan you a prop for a short time just to try to see what rpm you get from different size. I know that 17 pitch will increase your rpm to close to where it should be and carry a heavier load more adaquitly. But getting right set up takes time and can be expensive if you get to buying a bunch of different props. Check with dealers and see if they might have some used ones you could borrow before just buying one.
By the way your motor looks to be mounted right where it should be for that prop.

Here is a 3 blade merc prop. But what year motor, 4 stroke or 2 stroke and shaft spline number.
    Here it is

This is for reference. Yours should be a 15 spline shaft. Quicksilver is a merc factory prop. Diameter is tiny bigger with smaller pitch but won't make any difference.

If you posted a link I can't see it. It is a 2002 two stroke. Not sure the spline number. Anyone near Springfield MO have a prop I can rent or put a deposit on to check out?

I would go to your boat dealer. If you're gonna buy a prop, they should let you try different ones till you find the one that works best, and buy from them. I going through the same thing now. Didn't like the prop that came on mine so we are trying different props out till we find the best one. Only thing different is we will just swap props when we find the magic one.

It's not that I don't like it. It simply won't work with a full load. I don't have a boat dealer I prefer any suggestions around Springfield MO?

Definitely too much prop as others have said. 5K with you means you can drop to at least a 16P and still be okay. Will probably get you in the 5550-5600 RPM range. It's gonna slow down your top end speed some but the boat will handle better.

Don't they have a tracker marine center there in Springfield? That's where I would start.
