I love my new-to-me AWD Honda Ridgeline. Don’t have to worry about slipping on a wet ramp. Pulls my 16ft tracker very well. Plenty of power for what I need

Toyota 4-Runners are excellent. I had an '86 model that I drove for 10 years. Sure would like to have a Toyota FJ Cruiser, but I need a bed to haul stuff since I sold my utility trailer.

I had a used GMC Jimmy from '05 to 16. Got it with 50,000 and sold it with 160,000. At 135,000 I had to have the intake manifold gaskets replaced, water jacket blew through and dumped the coolant into the crankcase. Back in business in a few days and never had any other issues, my brother still drives it now. 4.3 and a tow package, probably the best vehicle I've ever owned. Pulled my 18' Bass Boat very well but panic stopping was a bit dicey. Everyone in my family drove it, I hunted out of it and for 2wd it did fine. Don't know what compares to it today but there's my two cents.

I believe Ford is bringing the Ranger and the Bronco back to production.

Like Clint above, I drive a 2012 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab bought new. I only have 46K miles on it. I compared the specs against the Tacoma.... the Nissan has more towing capacity and torque than the Toyota. The 4.0 V-6 has plenty of power, and I get around 17 mpg around town and 22 on the road. I have been very pleased with it. Got out of a 2003 Silverado. My next truck though, will prolly be a Chevy Colorado. I like the looks of it, and the Chevy 4.3 V-6 is a great engine.

If you are looking for pulling power in a small truck, consider the Diesel engine in the Colorado or Canyon. Up to 6500 lbs towing capacity with that
