Shorelander trailers = junk trailers with Alumacraft boats.
I own three Alumacraft boats and have advised several other people on help with buying their boats. In ALL instances, I recommend and "Eagle" trailer. From the factory, Alumacraft boats come on Eagle trailers. Unfortunately, when dealerships have allignments with other trailer companies, they order the boats without trailers. Then they put the boats on trailers that they sell and represent. The Lund Impact is almost and Identicle hull to two of my Allumacraft boats. My buddies boat doesn't load near as easy as mind does and his is on a Shorelander trailer. Another CDC member purchased an Alumacraft last year (second hand) on a Shore lander trailer. It is the same hull as mine and doesn't load near as well as mine does.
I can back my trailer in to the water to where the water is 2 inches from the top of my fenders. I can drive my boat to within 2 feet of the stantion on idle speed. All of mine crank with one hand.
Contact Eagle, tell them what year and hull you have. Give them the color and they will know exactly what trailer to build you. Order it with side bunks. All of their trailers have steel fenders with diamond plate steps on the front and back. All the lights are LED.
The Shorelander trailers have some issues regarding their axles and hubs (from the factory). Their quality control doesn't seem to be that good. I've owned a couple of them and would never purchase another. Just my two cents on the whole deal. Pucharse an Eagle and you won't be sorry.
