Looks brand new, I did mine also with appliance black. Its been over a year, still looking good.
Spent a lot of time in the salt chasing stripers and Puppy Drum last year. Trolling motor took a beating. Scratched it up on barnacles and oyster beds. Had it apart to replace the shaft bearings so I decided to try and refinish the lower unit. Used some self etching primer and appliance epoxy. We'll see how that holds up. Added a zinc anode to try and slow it down some. Made a transducer mount while I was at it. Anybody had any luck repainting theirs?

THE DANGED OLE MEGLO-MART DONE BLOWED UP!
You did a great job on that paint. I bet it lasts as well as anything else.
Nice job, did you sand blast it?

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. No, I didn't sandblast it. I wire wheeled off the loose powder coat, which was most of it. Then I used a 2" scotch brite pad on a die grinder to finish it up. It took maybe 20 minutes to get it ready for the primer. Hope it holds up for the rest of the year. I wouldn't want to disassemble that thing very often.
