Take it to s welder. Anyone that repaid aluminum ah tanks should be able to zip it right up.

How big a job is welding a 4 inch seam crack in an aluminum boat? Has been at dealer for 2 weeks and they told me they are having trouble getting a welder to look and bid on it.

Bring it to my shop in Albertville. Drop it off one day, come pick it up the next. I'll get it worked in and get you back on the water. I would put my best aluminum welder up against anybody in the country.
The reason your boat dealer can't get anyone to bid or quote the job is that it's such a small job they don't want to fool with it.

That’s what I figured! It’s a warranty job and they say to keep lifetime original owner warranty the job has to be approved by Triton. Darn catch 22

Thank you Furflyin! I’ll get back to you! I would gladly pay to have job done if they will honor warranty!

My shop should easily qualify to be a "warranty repair" center for them, unless there's some competition agreement with them and a local Marina. We do warranty claims on Merritt and Warren aluminum semi trailers. I don't know why we couldn't do them on boats. If we can repair something that hauls 54,000 lbs of grain, I think we can stick a boat back together. LOL
I'll send you a PM.
I Had a situation with a 14 ft . War eagle . My brother in haste to exit a lake due to lightning got excited and ran into a dock rather hard . I bought the boat used with no papers . Carried to tupelo's Mississippi marine. Before taking it ,I put silicone in the area where water leaked when we were looking for leak. Fished a week with no water getting in boat . They could not find leak due to silicone but paid 350.00 for a guy in Tupelo to grind down 3 inches on nose and rebuild . Thus my handle" eagle1 " was a given . good sales pitch as I now have bought two since . They allow any war eagle approved dealer to ship back to them to fix or hire their(dealer) choice of wielder to do warranty work .
Well, got some bad news on my Triton today. Lowe has refused the warranty claim and voided the warranty! They say from the pics that were sent to them they deduced that the boat sets on the trailer bunks improperly. They said the boat hangs too far off the bunks rearward and that is what caused the cracked weld! I have pics of the boat from day I picked it up and boat has ALWAYS set that way. There is no room to move winch mast forward. Lucky for me boat dealer has agreed to get it fixed at no cost to me, but no more lifetime warranty!

If through the dealer is the route your going to take, and since they are the ones that put package together I would ask them to lift boat and install new longer bunks. Doubt that caused your problem but just in case.
