    Default Ethanol fuel

been watching a few videos, and saw a number of people saying that they are removing the Ethanol from there gasoline. From what Ive seen is that they are adding water,(ethanol is Alcohol made from corn and added to fuel at about 10%.)this Alcohol mixes with the water and seperates from the fuel, and settles to the bottom which they drain off.Has any one done this...........Thanks

I wouldnt like the Idea of adding water to my fuel.

And if your removing 10% then that gets the price closer to non ethanol.

    Just my 2 cents

If a gal of fuel weighs 7.8 (water weighs,7.8 lbs per gal) give or take a few oz. Then 10% of that is for each gal there is 7.8 oz of corn Alcohol.Would that be correct.or how is the 10% added to the fuel...

Awful lot of work along with the danger involved to not gain much of anything. Just put some additive in it like sea foam and run it.

    Prices here

    50 gal ethanol @ $2 gal= $100 -10%=45 gallon for $100=$2.22 per gal

    50 gal non ethanol @ $2.55= 140.25

so in reality $2.55-$2.22= .33cents difference.

    Peace of mind.....Priceless!!

Ive run a lot of different out board motors with no addivatives, right now im running a 1960 5.5 fisherman, and have not had any problems yet.where im at there is no place that I know of that sells any fuel with no ethonol in it. I only add the mix of oil thats needed,my 1960 needs 32/1 and thats how I mix it.I thought of adding something else, but every thing seems to be working with out it so far. The only thing that ive found that will foul up an engine faster than any thing is water in your fuel, and a small bit of trash in your tank...those Two things will mess up a fishing trip faster than any thing...
