Default Hep with a 55 horse mercury 4stroke alarm

I went out this am and my motor wouldn't turn over. Full charged batteries. The alarm when you first turn the key beeped as usual but when you turn the key it just chirps. I've tried to no avail to find out what that meant. O course this time of year the repair shops are 3 to 5 weeks out. I don't want to miss that much fishing. I've only been out 3 times so far because I had surgery and just got well enough to fish. I would greatly appreciate any help I could get.
    Thanks John

Check all your battery connections and make sure they are squeaky clean and tight. lf that don't fix it try jumping the 2 big wires on the starter solenoid.

Check the main fuse(s) under the cowling as well.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Thank you. I hate to admit how lax Ive been on checking my
Batteries. The starting battery was so corroded I couldnt get the nut off. Wound up pulling the post out trying. Allso founfd out that I that the place I bought my last batteries mistakenly wired my trolling motor to the starting battery. I had 2 batteries only running 2 fishfinders. Nice of them to install them but I will definately check it if they ever install anymore.
Once again thanks. The shops here were all out 3 to 5 weeks. I would have lost lots of fishing time and 2 or 3 hundred bucjs as well.
