    Default F and F boat

My F and F has a LARGE gunnel with a slot down it for bolting accessories using t bolts or carriage head , with extrusion for rigidName: image.jpg

Size: 51.4 KBness. I tried the aluminum extrusion used by all the major production boat companies, but my gunnel is flat across the top and theirs is angled. This leaves a gap between gunnel and extrusion (see photo) F and F is out of business. Does anyone know where I can buy the extrusion that will fit a F and F? Want to add some accessories.

I think that is the same gunnel that Sea Ark used before their current design. That slot was never meant to be used as an accessories slot. It was only used as a wire way with a cover available. You can get some accessories to work if you custom make them, but will not work great with the extrusion you aren't thing to use as it was not made for it.

That may be the case. I do know there are a lot of different styles of extrusion on the market, maybe I'll start contacting some of the companies that stock it. This gunnel is very heavy and will likely hold up to mounting accessories without extrusion as long as their not to heavy. It will accept a 3/8 carriage head bolt in groove. I would like to buy some if I can find it though. It's a nice boat, and I don't want to chance damaging it .

I talked to a guy the other day and said one of the brothers from the original F&F is working at another fabricator/boat builder who rebuilt his transom a month or so ago. I'll try to figure out where he is at, he may can make you some or may know of some old stock

I know they had some issues when I was trying to get my boat built, ended up going a different route. May just be somebody who worked for the shop, you know how second hand info gets. I'll see if I can get in contact with the guy for you

Yes . I would really like to have a contact that worked at F and F . It's hard to get questions answered on a product when company is out of business. A real shame , some of the best made aluminum boats on the planet. I have the floor out right now installing new , marine grade wiring. It's impressive to see all the bracing in this boat.

F and F were tanks, everybody in this area is running them. My boss has one and it's a heck of a river boat for jugging and such

    (870) 723-5935 company is three rivers customs, ask for Justin. Think his father was a partner at F and F, at least that's what I've gathered. Guy spoke VERY highly of this company's work. Sounds like he can get you fixed up. Let me know if it works out for you
