    Default Electrics help

Hey man I have a 12v pump and want to use it on my cooler to keep minnows alive. How can I run it off 110v. I don't want to have to lug a battery to run it at camp. Any ideas. It is a marine metal with alligator clips.

Run it off a small battery charger. I use to use a car battery charger at the cabin.

Hello: To use a battery charger you have to have a non smart charger. Because the smart charger has to have a small charge feeding it to wake it up and turn it on .In my experience if you have a completely dead battery a smart charger will not work. Maybe someone else will have more information. Good Luck. O - R

You need to use an older charger. Not one of the newer "smart" chargers. Other than that just connect + to + and - to -.

Why not just use an aquarium air pump if you are close to an outlet and need to keep the water oxygenated?
    I'd rather be fishing.

I'm like Sliderman. Go to Walmart and get a 10.00 aquarium pump and be done with it. That's what I use for my camp cooler/ minnow cooler.
